To this day, which is almost 45 years later, I can still remember my summer league baseball coach, Bubba Panquin, and the massive impact that he had on my life.  He was the first person to introduce me to the concept of goal setting, which was a very important concept for me to learn at a young age.  His underlying philosophy was simple:  without a goal, you are lost.  Coach Panquin also taught me the importance of holding myself accountable to high standards every single day. 

After all these years, I can still remember my interactions with him and I can still feel the impact that he made on my life.  This is precisely what great teachers and great coaches do.  Their impact far outlasts their brief interactions with others.  It causes a ripple effect and it begins to take on a life of its own.
